A bachelor's degree in education is required, with a master's degree preferred, and candidates with a master's can bring eight years of experience while those with a bachelor's can bring six years. An alaska teacher certificate is mandatory, and three years of prior education experience, along with experience in inupiaq language, history & culture, is preferred.
