Core responsibilities
Substitute program leaders work directly with students, acting as a positive role model, coach, and mentor while providing homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum. They must create an engaging environment, support positive behavior choices, and ensure student safety through supervision and site maintenance.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have experience working with young children and the ability to inspire and motivate them, along with proof of high school graduation or ged, plus 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units or passing an instructional aide test. Applicants must also pass background checks, a tb test, and proficiency tests in math and english skills for k-8 levels.
