Relief Direct Care Worker (4224)

The primary function is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for children in residential programs, acting as a role model and participating in their daily routines and activity programs. Responsibilities include managing behavior according to agency philosophy, implementing treatment plans, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and handling administrative tasks like documentation and medication passing.

A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required, though some higher education is preferred, along with sufficient maturity to work with youth. Desirable experience includes working with juvenile justice-Involved youth, and candidates must commit to the sanctuary model and possess a valid new york state driver's license.
