Core responsibilities
The recreational therapist will develop and facilitate engaging recreational and educational activities for youth in the qualified residential treatment program (Qrtp) to foster physical wellness, social connection, and skill development. This role also involves partnering with community organizations to expand opportunities aligned with the qrtp's mission.
Requirements summary
Candidates need a graduate degree in a human services field, potentially holding a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (Ctrs) or registered play therapist (Rpt) certification, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Applicants must also pass a comprehensive background screening, complete a health evaluation, and possess a valid driver's license.
