Preschool Assistant Teacher, Seagull Schools (Aina Haina)

The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, assisting in planning and delivering age-Appropriate activities, and ensuring the emotional and developmental needs of young children are met. Key duties include maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, assisting with classroom operations like cleaning and meal support, and monitoring student behavior.

Candidates must meet state day care licensing requirements for an assistant teacher, which includes having a cda, two years of college plus six months of preschool experience with nine early childhood education units, or equivalent qualifications. Applicants must also pass medical, tb, and criminal history clearances, be able to lift up to 35 lbs, and possess current cpr/First aid certification.
