Substance Abuse Counselor

The counselor is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective trainee employee assistance program (Teap) to address substance use issues through awareness, prevention, and training. Essential functions include conducting assessments, developing assistance plans for students on probation or testing positive, and providing comprehensive training to all staff.

A bachelor's degree in education, behavioral science, or a related field is required, along with certification for drug and alcohol counseling. Applicants must also possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
