Job description
- Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): Collaborate with Head Coach pertaining to the scheduling of contests, practices, bus trips, and purchasing of equipment.
- Carry out all duties assigned by the Head Coach.
- Uphold and enforce all policies and procedures set by the Head Coach and School Principals.
- Assist in getting all players to participate in the Athletic Department’s fundraising efforts.
- Be responsible for the care and maintenance of all equipment and uniforms issued to your players.
- Complete required online concussion training.
- Promptly notify the Head Coach and Athletic Trainer of any injuries sustained at games or practices and complete all required reports.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, including the names of students issued particular uniforms–this will be turned in at the end of the season.
- Assist in collecting all activity fees and turn all collected monies in to Ms.
- Jackson for proper accounting and receipting.
- Make sure all players are given a copy of our Student Athletic Handbook and have all required forms signed and on file in the Athletic Office.
- Complete MSHSAA required Online Rules Review.
- Comply with the University Academy grade check policy that is conducted every three (3) weeks.
- Contact your building principal at least one (1) week in advance if you will be missing teaching time or a scheduled staff meeting because of a game or practice.
- Assist in making sure the locker room and equipment rooms are maintained in a proper manner.
- Assist in the sport until the Head Coach no longer needs your services.
- Be at all practice sessions and games or be available for scouting assignments.
- Recognize and understand the evaluation process.
- Assist in running football camp during spring for middle elementary school students.
- Ride buses to and from all games.
