Preschool Floating Teaching Assistant/Aide

The floating teaching assistant/Aide promotes cognitive development by assisting with implementing educational strategies, following classroom schedules, and preparing learning environments according to program guidelines. Responsibilities also include promoting health, safety, and social-Emotional growth through supervision, adherence to regulations, and modeling appropriate behaviors.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or ged; assistant roles additionally require 2500 hours of experience with children and 30 college credit hours in education or a related field, or an equivalent combination. Preferred qualifications include a child development associate credential or an associate’s degree in early childhood education, which must be obtained within one year of employment.
