Youth Counselors

Join Our Team as a Youth Counselor in Westmoreland County!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young individuals? Adelphoi is hiring youth counselors. We provide a 4-week rotating schedule which includes day, afternoon, and weekend shifts. We’re conveniently located in Latrobe, close to Greensburg, Ligonier, Mount Pleasant, and other surrounding areas.

Compensation

$19.65-$24.80 per hour depending on education

What You’ll Do

• Supervise and mentor youth in a residential setting.
• Maintain safety and order using approved crisis‑prevention and physical intervention techniques when necessary.
• Participate in de‑escalation, restraint, and emergency response procedures as trained and required.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to provide consistent structure and support.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Because this role involves working with older and sometimes physically aggressive youth, candidates must be able to:
• Safely perform physical interventions and restraints with individuals who may weigh 200+ pounds, using approved techniques.
• Stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift.
• Successfully complete and maintain certification in Adelphoi’s crisis intervention / restraint training and pass any required physical abilities assessment.
