Summer General Sports Coach

Coaches are responsible for officiating youth sports games according to ymca policies and teaching basic game skills while promoting good sportsmanship and maintaining a fun, safe environment. They must also serve as visible leaders and role models, communicating positively with participants and parents.

Candidates must possess knowledge of youth sports rules and fundamentals (Like soccer, basketball, flag football) and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills to remain calm and professional during games. Cpr/Aed and first aid certification are required within 60 days of hire, and the role requires physical activity.
