Teacher of the Visually Impaired Itinerant - to create a candidate pipeline

The teacher plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students who are visually impaired under the direction of the principal and team leader. This includes instructing, supervising students in various settings, and monitoring and evaluating student outcomes.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and hold or be eligible for an appropriate maryland educator certificate or license for the assignment area, with coursework in orientation and mobility preferred. Required knowledge includes special education principles, expanded core curriculum, and assistive technology, along with skills in lesson planning and behavior management.
