The teacher is responsible for planning and providing appropriate learning experiences, supervising students in various school settings, and monitoring and evaluating student outcomes. Essential functions also include developing and modifying instructional plans to meet diverse student needs and fostering an environment conducive to holistic child development.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and meet all licensure requirements established by the Maryland Department of Education, along with other experience mandated by Maryland Law and Board policy. Qualifications require knowledge of subject matter, exemplary human relation and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Terms of Employment: 10-month

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
