Job description

- Joseph School Cockeysville is seeking an experienced Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
- The successful applicant should demonstrate a strong knowledge of mathematics education and have teaching experience in a PreK–8 environment.
- Additionally, the candidate must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- The candidate must also be able to prepare, plan, create, and execute informative and engaging lesson plans for students.
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, 10-month teaching position.
- Essential Functions
- Instruct math classes for students in Grades 5–8.
- Conduct assessments and grading, including the use of PowerSchool.
- Maintain classroom management and perform all duties assigned to this teacher.
- Participate as a member of the faculty in all meetings and activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding all matters related to the school.
- Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education with a concentration in Mathematics.
- Valid Maryland State Teaching Certification.
- Knowledge of technology use and integration.
- Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods and strategies, and curriculum differentiation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
