Resident Assistant (RA)

The resident assistant facilitates a supportive environment for social connections, academic success, and well-Being through programming and meaningful interactions, while addressing and reporting residential living and student conduct violations promptly. Ras also serve as role models, connect residents to campus resources, and participate in building opening/Closing procedures and mandatory duty coverage.

Applicants must maintain a minimum 2.75 semester and cumulative gpa and be enrolled between 12 and 18 credit hours at washburn university. Essential requirements include understanding ferpa, knowing university resources, strong communication and mediation abilities, comfort responding to emergencies, and demonstrating knowledge of university policies.
