Core responsibilities
The assistant cheer coach primarily assists the head coach in managing all aspects of the cheer program, focusing heavily on ensuring strict adherence to usa cheer safety procedures during practices and performances, especially at basketball home contests. This role involves structuring practices, teaching progressive techniques for stunts and tumbling, coordinating pre-Game activities, and maintaining high standards of team conduct and discipline.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, and a minimum of one year of collegiate coaching experience, along with current usa cheer membership, certification (Including concussion), and cpr/Aed certification. The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding duties on the court, including spotting stunts and tumbling, and the capacity to serve as a proxy for the head coach when necessary.
