Youth Advocate, Wraparound

Youth advocates coach and educate youth on communication, system navigation, and self-Regulation skills to help them meet personal goals while participating in program intake and outreach activities like child and family team meetings. They also provide mutual support and education groups, offer feedback on agency decision-Making, and assist with grievance and complaint processes.

All candidates must have a high school diploma or ged and experience as a youth who received services within child welfare, foster care, mental health, or the juvenile justice system. Higher levels require peer specialist certification and prior experience as a peer advocate.
