The successful candidate will teach four courses each semester, focusing primarily on first-year Spanish courses and upper-division culture and literature courses based on credentials. Responsibilities also include maintaining weekly office hours and contributing to departmental service.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Spanish, Latin American or Hispanic literature, or a related field, along with native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English. A minimum of one year of college/university teaching experience and familiarity with learning management tools like Canvas are preferred.
• Applicants should also have at least one year of experience teaching Spanish at a college or university and have experience using or integrating learning management tools such as Canvas. Experience in teaching historically disadvantaged populations and first-generation students is desired.
