Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Dental Assisting Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assisting courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred
- Certification
- DANB RHS Certification +
- Xray Certified +
- RDA and/or
- CDA
- At least three years of experience as a Certified Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, chairside
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
