Recreational Activities Aide (Pediatric Feeding Disorders)

The recreational activities aide implements developmentally appropriate play activities and manages patient behavior within the pediatric feeding disorders program playrooms. Key duties include supervising patients, engaging children, maintaining a safe environment, collecting behavior data, and providing necessary physical care.

Candidates must possess and maintain cpr certification and complete required departmental training within 90 days, including behavior management and ventilator & tracheostomy training. A high school diploma or ged is required, while prior paraprofessional experience with special needs or individuals with severe behavior problems is desirable.
