Certified Diabetes Educator

The role involves providing state-Of-The-Art diabetes education to patients and their caregivers in an outpatient setting to optimize management. This includes developing educational materials, teaching individuals and groups based on guidelines, and promoting lifestyle changes.

Candidates must be a registered nurse (Rn) with a current connecticut state nursing license, and certification by the national certification board for diabetes educators (Cde) or eligibility within 12 months is required. Preference is given to applicants with at least two years of demonstrated experience in diabetes education, along with strong communication and public speaking skills.
