Core responsibilities
The resident will provide pharmaceutical care consistent with entry-Level practice, reviewing medication orders for safety and cost-Effectiveness, and interpreting clinical and pharmacokinetic lab data. Responsibilities also include serving as a primary source of drug information, overseeing drug distribution processes, and participating in educational activities like preparing and presenting inservices.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited college of pharmacy with a b.s. Or pharm.d. Degree and must be eligible for connecticut pharmacist licensure. Hospital pharmacy work experience is preferred, along with demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
