Core responsibilities
Behavior technicians implement individualized behavior intervention plans one-On-One with children with autism under the supervision of a bcba, focusing on teaching skills and reducing interfering behaviors using evidence-Based techniques. This role demands physical engagement, including the ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds while working with unpredictable children.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be passionate about helping children with autism, patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team, requiring a minimum age of 18 and a high school diploma or ged. Applicants must also be able to pass a background check, obtain cpr/First aid certification, and secure registered behavior technician certification within 45 days of onboarding.
