Family Based Care Specialist

The specialist performs home assessments and pre-Service training for foster care divisions, including conducting initial foster parent interviews and documenting findings within strict timeframes. Responsibilities also involve acquiring and maintaining trainer status for cpr, first aid, and cpi, and conducting required foster parent orientation training.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a human services field and have one to two years of related experience or training, along with maintaining current cpr, cpi, and first aid certifications and a valid social work license. Essential qualifications include a strong understanding of culture, the ability to forge respectful partnerships, and conviction in human capacity for growth and change.
