Braillist (Unified English Braille)

The primary responsibility involves transcribing, proofreading, and formatting print documents into unified english braille (Ueb) to create accessible tactile materials. This includes utilizing specialized software and equipment to produce hard-Copy and electronic braille files, as well as tactile graphics.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in unified english braille (Ueb) and possess experience with braille translation software like duxbury or braille2000. A high school diploma is required, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, and certification in ueb is highly desired.
