YD Broward - Counselor, Middle School FORCE

The counselor is responsible for the day-To-Day group programming, behavior management, and direct supervision of a group of children within a licensed childcare or day camp setting under the site supervisor's direction. Key duties include implementing age-Appropriate activities, tracking progress, maintaining safety protocols, and documenting incidents and administrative forms as required.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and a minimum of two years of experience, including one year working directly with children with special needs, and must be at least eighteen years old. Required certifications must be obtained within one year, including cpr and first aid within 90 days of hire, alongside specific state and ymca training modules.
