Head Start Teacher in Training

The teacher-In-Training assists in planning, implementing, and documenting a comprehensive child development program for preschool-Aged children. This role also involves developing child-Focused goals in partnership with families and ensuring full compliance with head start performance standards and maine state licensing requirements.

A high school diploma or ged is required, and the candidate must obtain a preschool cda within 12 months of hiring, with financial support provided by yccac. Preferred qualifications include 3 or more years of experience in a center or home-Based setting specializing in preschool, particularly with preschool mental health theories.
