- Category: EducationPfeiffer University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach various courses in the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy program primarily at its Charlotte, NC campus location.
- Subject matter needs include but are not limited to: Family systems. Advanced trauma and assessment. Advanced therapeutic practice. Diagnosis of mental and emotional disorders. Therapeutic alliance, as well as internship supervision.
- Responsibilities include: Utilizing effective teaching and learning practices such as lectures, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of educational delivery. Preparing course outlines and syllabi in accordance with program standards and in collaboration with the professor teaching the same course. Leading and monitoring classroom instruction that promotes educational and learning process keeping with faculty academic freedom and responsibility. Evaluating and grading student performance and posting attendance and grades in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field Minimum of five years successful teaching experience. Hold, or be eligible to hold professional licensure. Licensed supervisor.
