Long Term and Short Term Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

Substitute teachers will support teachers in early head start and head start classrooms by helping maintain daily routines, ensuring a safe environment, and assisting with direct child care routines like feeding and diapering. They must also step into classrooms that may present challenging behaviors, utilizing patience and positive guidance while communicating openly with the teaching teams.

Candidates should ideally possess an aa degree in early childhood education or a related field, or be actively pursuing one with completion expected within a year, alongside 18 college credits in relevant areas. Preferred qualifications include experience with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, cpr/First aid certification, and reliable transportation to travel to various sites.
