Instruct gymnastics classes and programs adhering to the YMCA's Sport Philosophy and mission to develop healthy mind, body, and spirit. Responsibilities include planning and leading sessions while ensuring participant safety and enjoyment.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old, knowledgeable with USAG skill progressions, and possess gymnastics coaching experience. Applicants must also maintain current CPR/AED certification within 60 days of employment.
· Teach classes/programs based on the YMCA’s Sport Philosophy.
· Incorporate the YMCA’s mission of developing healthy mind, body, and spirit into programs.
· Ability to supervise 8-9 students with control, enthusiasm and proper safety precautions.
· Ability to demonstrate basic gymnastics skills (forward roll, backward roll, running and jumping.)
· Make sure all participants have a fun, enjoyable time.
· Plan and lead classes/programs as scheduled.
· Compile program records including attendance, questionnaires, evaluations, accident/incident reports, and incentive plans.
· Attend all staff meetings.
· Must be at least 16 years of age.
· Knowledgeable with the USAG skill progressions
· Gymnastics coaching experience.
· Ability to work with people of all ages.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills.
· Must be mature, enthusiastic and caring.
· Must have current CPR/AED certification within 60 days of employment.
