Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The role involves providing individualized support either as a personal attendant focusing on health, safety, and adls, or as a skills instructor focusing on functional skill development, community engagement, and vocational interests. Responsibilities include direct assistance, supervision, instruction, and accurate documentation according to agency and regulatory standards.

Candidates need 0-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and must be able to maintain professional relationships and follow established care plans. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, maintaining tb clearance, and possessing a valid cpr/First aid certification and a valid california driver's license if transportation is required.
