Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The role involves providing individualized support, either focusing on health/Safety supervision and hands-On assistance with adls (Personal attendant track) or teaching functional skills for independent living and community engagement (Skills instructor track). Responsibilities include documentation, reporting changes, and participating in meetings for both tracks.

Candidates need 0-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and must be able to maintain professional relationships and follow instructions to implement care plans. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, maintaining tb clearance, and possessing valid cpr/First aid certification and a valid california driver's license if transportation is required.
