Adjunct teaching faculty are responsible for delivering instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals, which includes conducting assigned classes, preparing lessons, and providing course syllabi. They must also evaluate student progress through accurate record-keeping and timely feedback to facilitate the achievement of educational goals.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related health science field, hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential, and maintain an Illinois State RCP license. Required experience includes four years as an RRT with at least two years in clinical respiratory care, plus two years of teaching or clinical instruction experience in a CoARC accredited program.

Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.
Rate of pay: This is a Part-Time Adjunct Faculty position with the following pay rate per contact hour:
The offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.
Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

Deliver Instruction 1. Conduct assigned classes, labs and/or clinicals. 2. Prepare lessons 3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information) 4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets
5. Prepare labs 6. Enforce lab safety procedures
Evaluate Student Progress 1. Keep accurate record of student performance 2. Provide students with timely feedback
Provide Student Assistance 1. Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication 2. Refer students to student support services 3. Accommodate special needs students
