Core responsibilities
The career counselor is primarily responsible for delivering comprehensive counseling services to assigned students covering personal, social development, career employment, and behavior, including individual and group sessions and crisis intervention. Duties involve proactive student contact, conducting intake assessments, managing caseloads through frequent monitoring, and collaborating with various staff to ensure student progress toward personal career development plans (Pcdp) and other goals.
Requirements summary
Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency with advanced microsoft office applications and possess general computer literacy, including email and internet usage. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours in social services-Related instruction, coupled with one year of experience in counseling or a related field.
