Direct Support Professional (Day Hab)

Direct support professionals provide continuous support to individuals in day habilitation and icf programs, focusing on self-Care, health, safety, and promoting independence and personal growth. Key duties include ensuring participant safety, training volunteers on job tasks, acting as staff support for transportation, and serving as a liaison between job sites and volunteers.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills. A valid nys driver license is required, and experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with specific certifications like amap/First aid/Cpr/Scip-R, is preferred.
