Summer Therapeutic Recreation Leader

The therapeutic recreation leader will assist with the one-On-One needs of children with disabilities and promote inclusion within general recreation programs through developmentally appropriate activities like crafts and games. Essential functions include supervising participants, creating daily plans, ensuring safety and comfort, adapting activities, and communicating effectively with parents or guardians.

Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years old and currently attending high school, along with having some work, training, certification, or volunteer experience with individuals with disabilities. Success requires strong knowledge of recreation planning, class management, and youth development principles, along with the ability to lead activities and adapt to participant needs.
