Literacy Specialist - Queens

The literacy specialist acts as a multi-Site instructional leader, collaborating with site directors to support front-Line staff in delivering literacy-Based curricula and thematic projects. Essential functions include teaching, preparing materials, adapting instruction, coordinating events, inputting data, and administering student assessments.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent, though college credits or degrees are highly preferred. Required experience includes a broad knowledge of current literacy curriculum trends and successful experience teaching and instructing youth.
