Child Life Specialist

The child life specialist plans, organizes, and implements child life programming in the hospital, focusing on promoting the development of children and adolescents while reducing stress. They also prepare patients for procedures and assist families in coping with hospitalization and illness.

A bachelor's degree in any field is required, along with in-Depth knowledge of child development and experience working with children. A child life internship and completion of relevant coursework in child life are also necessary.
