Core responsibilities
This role involves serving as a primary instructor and academic coach for intervention courses (Gen 103/104), teaching 8-10 sections annually, and conducting individual conferences with students to encourage academic success. The specialist will also provide logistical support for these courses, assist in managing math labs, and oversee the planning and implementation of summer bridge programs.
Requirements summary
A minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include at least 18 credit hours at the master's level, extensive mathematics coursework, knowledge of mathematics software, and experience teaching or tutoring mathematics at the college or secondary level.
