Employment Vocational Specialist (50396)

The specialist is responsible for screening participants to assess vocational and training needs, enhancing vocational readiness skills, and identifying employment opportunities, including assisting with ged attainment and vocational training. Essential functions involve preparing lesson plans, administering assessments, instructing adults in job-Seeking skills, and monitoring client performance in vocational/Occupational skills.

Candidates must be familiar with standard practices in vocational counseling and possess the ability to work professionally and collaboratively in a team environment, exercising good judgment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one or more years of experience in a similar role, preferably working with adults in substance abuse or mental health settings.
