Classroom Aide

The classroom aide will assist the teacher in classroom activities, ensuring compliance with department of early education & care (Eec) regulations and ymca philosophy, including engaging and supervising children using positive guidance. Essential functions involve helping plan and implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities while adhering to all program standards for safety and cleanliness.

Candidates should ideally possess an associate's degree and have over 3 years of experience in an early education setting, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development. Required qualifications include current knowledge of early childhood education standards, the ability to interact effectively with parents and children, and obtaining cpr/First aid certification within three months.
