Core responsibilities
The clinical nurse educator assists in developing and implementing initial and future training programs for assigned areas, conducting ongoing education, and ensuring the competency of professional nurses and unlicensed personnel annually based on best practices. Essential functions include facilitating learning, designing curricula reflecting departmental needs, teaching courses, developing learning modules, and utilizing various strategies to assess knowledge and competencies.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in nursing and 4-6 years of direct patient care nursing experience, along with an active rn license and basic life support (Bls/Cpr) certification. Required abilities include adherence to professional nursing standards, strong customer service principles, effective teamwork, clear communication across all levels, and proficiency in microsoft office suite and ehr/Epic documentation.
