Teacher Assistant - Head Start

The teacher assistant supports the head start teacher by assisting in planning and implementing lesson plans, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and promoting school readiness and social-Emotional growth. This role also involves maintaining a safe classroom environment, supporting daily routines, and fostering positive relationships with families.

A high school diploma or ged is required, with preference given to candidates holding a cda credential, associate’s degree, or coursework in early childhood education, along with previous experience working with preschool children. Candidates must pass background checks, licensing requirements, and possess cultural competency and the ability to work collaboratively.
