Teacher Assistant - Head Start

The teacher assistant supports the head start teacher by assisting in planning and implementing lesson plans, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and promoting school readiness. This role also involves supervising children to ensure safety, supporting daily routines, and developing positive relationships with families.

A high school diploma or ged is required, with preference given to candidates holding a cda credential, associate’s degree, or relevant coursework in early childhood education. Candidates must also pass required background checks, licensing requirements, and possess a passion for working with young children.
