Teachers Assistant

The teacher's assistant supports classroom teachers by providing instructional assistance, facilitating small academic groups, and implementing individualized student plans. They also assist with personal care, maintain classroom safety, and document student progress to ensure educational and therapeutic goals are met.

Candidates must hold or be actively pursuing a new york state teacher assistant certification and have passed the nystce atas examination. Experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a special education setting is required for specialized departments.
