Secondary Social Studies Teacher (School Year 2026-2027)

The social studies teacher will deliver intensive academic knowledge and skills in social science subjects like history, american government, or humanities to secondary students using the adopted curriculum. This role involves developing fundamental student skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing necessary for effective communication and citizenship.

Candidates must meet all qualifications and behavior standards set by the state of maryland authority for ms/Us social studies teachers. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a valid maryland teacher’s certificate in social studies (6-12) or the ability to obtain conditional certification, along with passing a background check.
