The teacher is responsible for developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering an appreciation for literature in Middle and High School. Key duties include implementing IBDP and MYP curricula, preparing students for examinations, and collaborating with colleagues and parents.
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or Literature and have native English fluency. Preferred qualifications include experience in IB schools and bilingual proficiency in French.

The Secondary School Teacher of English Literature is responsible for developing students' skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and fostering communication skills. This teacher will work with Secondary School (Middle & High School) students to develop an appreciation for literature, motivate students to read widely, and promote critical assessment of reading materials. The age and level of students requires someone with experience differentiating instruction across multiple grade levels and English language proficiencies. This position requires demonstrating the competencies and behaviors needed to improve student preparedness and academic mastery and to support the core values, vision, and mission of Rochambeau.

This position primarily operates in a school environment. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, walking, or standing, extensive use of computers and other office equipment, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment up to 25 pounds.
