The Soccer Coach is responsible for leading practices and matches for various age groups while fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion. They must plan effective training sessions, ensure student safety, and act as a positive role model for student-athletes.
Candidates must have at least one year of soccer coaching experience and mastery of soccer rules and tactical strategies. A valid Adult & Child First Aid/CPR certification is required, and bilingual proficiency in French and English is strongly preferred.
Rochambeau, The French International School of Washington, DC (Rochambeau), has two(2) openings for a Soccer Coach – Part-time for the 2026-2027 school year. The anticipated start date for this role is August 2026.
This position is eligible for Montgomery County Sick & Safe Leave and is not eligible for additional benefits or paid time-off.

As part of the development and growth of our program, we are looking for dynamic, passionate, and committed soccer coaches for the upcoming season. Soccer Coaches are responsible for the growth, structure, and leadership of the "Mousquetaires" soccer program. As a pillar of student life for over 12 years, the program comprises 26 teams from Grade 1 (CP) through Grade 12 (Terminale). Coaches leads practices and matches for both recreational and highly competitive levels, fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and tailored athletic support. This role requires demonstrating the competencies needed to improve student athletic mastery and to support the core values, vision, and mission of Rochambeau.
This position primarily operates in an outdoor athletic environment, with occasional sessions in an indoor gymnasium. The role requires physical mobility, including the ability to demonstrate athletic movements, prolonged periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting or moving of athletic equipment (ball bags, cones, goals, etc.) up to 40 pounds.
