The Summer Camp Assistant Soccer Coach supports the delivery of a dynamic, engaging, and developmentally appropriate soccer program for campers of varying ages (6-11) and skill levels. Working closely with the Lead Soccer Coach, the Assistant Soccer Coach helps facilitate daily training sessions, games, and recreational activities while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. This role contributes to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive camp environment that reflects Rochambeau’s core values of respect, responsibility, and diversity. The successful candidate serves as a positive role model for campers, assists with supervision and behavior management, and helps ensure that all participants enjoy a rewarding athletic experience while developing their soccer skills and confidence.
This position primarily operates in an outdoor athletic environment, with occasional sessions in an indoor gymnasium. The role requires physical mobility, including the ability to demonstrate athletic movements, prolonged periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting or moving of athletic equipment (ball bags, cones, goals, etc.) up to 40 pounds.
