Special Education Teacher, [CCR/BST]

The special education teacher coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for students with disabilities, including the development and implementation of individual education programs (Ieps). They are responsible for monitoring student progress, maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment, and collaborating with staff and families to meet educational needs.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a valid north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. Additionally, a valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required, with preferred qualifications including first aid, cpr, and crisis prevention and intervention (Cpi) certifications.
