Special Education Teacher, Extended Content Standards

Coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for special education students while developing and implementing individual education programs (Ieps). Monitors student progress, maintains a safe learning environment, and collaborates with staff and families to meet educational goals.

Requires a bachelor's degree and a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. Candidates must also possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and demonstrate knowledge of instructional practices and federal special education regulations.
